Being a DFW Newborn Photographer, we help capture those fleeting newborn features. Every mom wants to remember those sweet newborn baby rolls, milia or tiny white spots on baby’s nose, and the way you held that sweet newborn during their tiniest stage. One Dimple Photography’s Studio information and location:
Our Trophy Club newborn studio does both in-studio and on-location newborn pictures. For newborn clients with limited space or the preference to not have the session in their DFW home, we do offer an in-studio option at our studio, which is a quick 30-minute drive from Dallas. We do most of our newborn sessions on-location at our clients’ Dallas or Fort Worth home. We have many newborn photography clients from the DFW metroplex and surrounding areas, but most are concentrated around Trophy Club, Keller, Roanoke, Southlake, Grapevine, Hurst, Colleyville, Frisco, Lewisville, Allen and Plano.

Booking Your Dallas Newborn Photographer:
A majority of our Dallas custom fine art newborn portrait clients book their newborn photography session when they are in their 2nd trimester. It is best to get on our calendar for your due date as many times our calendar will fill up 1-2 months in advance. If you are late scheduling your newborn session, please contact us, as we are able to accommodate a few last minute newborn bookings. It is best to do your newborn session when baby is between 5-16 days of age, but we will never turn away older newborn babies. Feel free to reach out to us if your sweet baby needs to stay at the hospital a little longer than anticipated. Several of our finest newborn portraits have been completed soon after the baby arrived home after being discharged from the NICU. Take a look at our portfolio and see if you can find them!
One Dimple Photography’s Newborn Session Style:
Most clients pick their newborn photographer based on the style of newborn photography that they offer. Photographers will either offer lifestyle newborn sessions or posed newborn sessions. One Dimple Photography offers posed newborn photograph which are styled with muted colors. We love using muted tones as our backdrops for our posed newborn pictures. The use of hats, headbands, outfits, wraps and other props is one way we like to incorporate color. A neutral backdrop for our family, parent and sibling photos is always used to help create timeless photos of your family that will stand the test of time.
Newborn Session flow:
Our in-home newborn sessions at our clients’ home in the Dallas Fort Worth area take about 3 hours from start to finish. We use one studio light during the session, so there is no need to worry about your house not having adequate natural lighting. If doing family and newborn photos, these photos are done in the beginning of the session followed by the sibling and posed newborn pictures. We prefer that our clients relax and enjoy the newborn photography session. We aim to do everything that is needed for baby, but we will pause the session if baby is exclusively breast-feeding and needs to take a quick milk break.

Timeline expectations:
Approximately 2 weeks following your in-home or studio newborn session, you will receive a link to your edited high-resolution newborn pictures in a downloadable gallery. This link is password protected and contains a code to download high-resolution images. You can use these images from the gallery to print for newborn announcements, prints or canvases. We do all of our mailings for USBs once a month, so it does take 2-4 weeks to receive your USB, but this is why we send you the downloadable gallery. So if you want to print, please do not wait for the USB. All images in the gallery are exactly the same as the ones you will receive on your USB.
Additional services offered by One Dimple Photography:
We offer not only fine art newborn portraits, but we also offer maternity sessions, baby milestone sessions and family sessions. We love watching our newborns grow through each important milestone and do offer a discounts to our returning Dallas newborn photography clients for milestone sessions.
The important milestones to document your sweet baby would be tummy (4-6 months), Sitter (6-8 months), Cake Smash (1 year). Tummy sessions are best done when baby can happily hold their head up. Sitter sessions should be done when baby can prop sit or sit unassisted. Cake Smash sessions should be done a month prior to the birthday party if wanting to use pictures to display at the party. If you are not intending to display the photos at the party, you can schedule the session for right around the baby’s 1st birthday.
